All-Star Weekend brings a unique challenge. The energy is high, the pace is nonstop, and the environment needs to feel elevated without feeling exclusive. For this activation at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, the goal was to create a space that invited guests to slow down, connect, and spend meaningful time inside the experience.
Rather than building something that felt temporary, the focus was on designing a lounge that felt intentional, comfortable, and visually grounded within a massive convention setting.
Large convention halls can feel overwhelming if the space is not carefully defined. To solve this, we anchored the lounge with soft textures and warm materials that immediately set a different tone from the surrounding show floor.
At the center of the stage lounge was the Meyers Sofa, providing a strong visual anchor and a comfortable place for guests to gather. Paired with the sofa were Jordan Arm Chairs, creating a balanced seating arrangement that encouraged conversation while still feeling open and approachable.
A Glenwood Coffee Table grounded the seating area, offering both function and structure while keeping sight lines clean and uncluttered.
All-Star Weekend demands furniture that performs as well as it looks. The layout needed to support constant movement without feeling chaotic. Seating was arranged to naturally guide guests into the space while allowing for easy circulation around the lounge.
Accent pieces like the Vernon Side Table were strategically placed to add functionality without overcrowding the footprint. These details helped the space feel complete while maintaining flexibility throughout the event.
To ensure the lounge stood out within the Salt Palace Convention Center, scenic elements and greenery were layered throughout the space. Plants softened hard edges and added depth, helping the lounge feel immersive rather than exposed on the show floor.
The combination of upholstered seating, light wood finishes, and thoughtful styling gave the space a residential feel that contrasted intentionally with the industrial scale of the venue.
Every decision was made with the guest experience in mind. From the placement of the Meyers Sofa to the supporting role of the Glenwood Coffee Table and Vernon Side Tables, the space was designed to encourage people to pause, sit down, and stay awhile.
Behind the scenes, our team handled load-in, setup, and on-site coordination to ensure everything came together smoothly. Tight timelines and evolving needs are part of events like this, and our focus stayed on solving problems quickly while protecting the integrity of the design.
This All-Star Weekend activation highlights how thoughtful event furniture rentals and event production services can completely transform a large venue like the Salt Palace Convention Center.
By combining pieces like the Meyers Sofa, Jordan Arm Chairs, Glenwood Coffee Table, and Vernon Side Table, we created a lounge that felt polished, comfortable, and aligned with the energy of All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah.
