Tyson LaSpina was born and raised in the event industry, beginning his career over 15 years ago with In The Event. Starting as an event technician in the warehouse, Tyson was able to learn everything in the industry from the ground up. He then moved on to serve as Warehouse Manager, overseeing all event related inventory, operations and logistics. Moving into his role as Operations Manager, Tyson oversees the warehouse inventory, company operations and event technician and sales staff. He offers engineering guidance for event design, logistics and overall production execution.
Dawn brings to the ITE family her experience in Production Management, Technical Direction, Stage Management, Show Calling/Voice of God, and demonstrated skills in Audio Engineering, Lighting Design, and Video Editing. Dawn comes from a theater background, volunteering at local community theaters, as well as being the former Technical Director of the Ed Kenley Ampitheater. Dawn also has a background in broadcast, having previously worked as a Floor Producer for Fox KSTU. Dawn is a graduate of the University of Utah.
Working closely with In The Event executives, Kayleen is an established “go-to” person for all things office-related and non-office-related. As the Executive Assistant, she is the gentle reminder with a handy back-pocket notebook and an emergency 1000 mg Tylenol up her sleeve. She is an observant sponge with an endless to-do list and is a well-rounded professional, having learned the diverse language of the event industry working previously as an event administrator and operations manager. Whether passion-driven or a little OCD-driven, her work experience and business studies led her to obsess about being organized, always search for opportunities to develop her business acumen, and find joy in making everyone's life a little easier.
With over a decade in the world of events, Carra brings planning experience from a wide variety of sectors. Her time spent working in collegiate athletics, non-profit fundraising, pharmaceutical marketing, live stage production and social events gives her the ability to approach each event with unique perspective and insight.
At In The Event, Carra’s work as an Account Executive includes designing and producing events for social and corporate clients, managing budgets, vendor contracts and onsite logistics. She enjoys working on a wide range of events and excels at keeping designs on-trend and cutting edge. Serving as the team’s lead floral designer, she enjoys bringing together tone, texture and technique to design one of a kind floral pieces.
Jennifer has been an Account Executive at In The Event since 2018. Jennifer received her Bachelors of Science in Tourism and Events Management from George Mason University in 2012. Her event experience includes tourism, non-profit, weddings, social events, corporate galas, and conferences. She has spent the past 8 years focusing on full-service events with clients based all over the country. She enjoys designing event decor, stage installations, and working with clients to bring their visions to life. Loves graph paper and sharpies.
Bringing extensive experience managing events in both the public and private sectors, Kennedy has the dedication and imagination to turn your dreams into an experience every guest will remember. With a rich background in outdoor events, Kennedy brings years of expertise in planning events around mother natures vast elements. Kennedy’s career with In The Event began as part of the warehouse crew, which gives her a considerable knowledge of our rental inventory. This allows her to plan and think outside the box to create memorable events inside any type of budget. She enjoys walks in the mountains, drinking vanilla chai tea and taking photos of her dog, Georgia.
Shelby loves turning ideas into reality. She is an avid party planner and host in her personal life which lead her to In The Event. Shelby's main role is as the General Manager of In The Event's sister company Mannequin Rental Co. She works with hundreds of exhibitors every year to help them display their products at expos across the country. With her background in sales, marketing, and startup work Mannequin Rental Co. has grown quickly since Shelby joined the team. Even though her main role is with MRC she can often be found setting up events with her ITE coworkers. Outside of the office she can be found doing improv at Comedy Sportz in Provo, UT, skiing, doing photography, or baking with her husband Conner.
Jonathan has been creating art since before he can remember, starting with drawing and painting in his younger age. Once he was in high school, he discovered a passion for digital art. Since then, Jonathan has spent years studying the ins and outs of graphic design; including motion graphics and animation. His career at In The Event has opened new windows and challenges for his creativity and he is excited to help clients bring their dream events to life!
Outside of graphics, Jonathan continues to draw and create art. He loves to travel, rock climb, spending time with his wife and dog Yoki, and cooking the perfect saucy crispy chicken wings.
Madi's love of art and design began at a young age. As an AP Art student in high school, she began to attend local art markets as a vendor and created connections within the Salt Lake art community. Growing as an artist, she started to explore the field of digital art, which led her to attend UX design and graphic design program. She began to use her digital design skills to create poster and merch designs for local Salt Lake musicians and businesses before joining In The Event.
