In part one of this two-part blog series, we went over some of the basics on assessing your options for chair rentals for an upcoming wedding. Chairs are a vital part of multiple elements of a given wedding, from the ceremony to the reception, and it’s important to ensure all guests in attendance are covered from a seating perspective.

For many weddings, chair requirements will be simple and straightforward. This is particularly common in cases where the couple plans to use the same chairs for the ceremony as they do for the reception dinner.
In other situations, though, you might want to accessorize the chairs to match the rest of the wedding’s décor. You might consider bows, sashes, ribbons or other additions to the seating elements. For special seats like the couple’s chairs or the family table, you might decorate the chairs slightly differently so they stand out.
On the logistical side, we recommend beginning your search for rental chairs and other rental items at least four months before the wedding date, and often more than this. Weddings should contain a great deal of advanced planning, and you want to ensure things are handled well ahead of time so there are no issues to deal with in the lead-up, where you’ll likely be dealing with family, friends and numerous other tasks.
While browsing your options, evaluate factors like company policies, rental costs, additional services (like setup and clean-up) and delivery costs, if needed.
Budget and Costs
Finally, consider your budget and the cost of chair rentals closely during this process. You should be thinking both about the overall costs and the deposit requirement, if your rental company requires it – you’ll often place a deposit for some percentage of the cost, then pay the rest after the event.
As for the pricing on various chair rentals, it will vary widely depending on your choices. Simpler options like padded folding chairs tend to range around $1 per chair or even less in some cases, but elegant and fine chair options may run up to ten times this amount in some cases. In addition, consider courts for areas like covers, ribbons or sashes.
