Modern Holiday Party Alternatives to the “Winter Wonderland” Theme

As much as our event planners love the ‘Winter Wonderland’ holiday party theme, there’s a big world of holiday themes that deserve some love in our industry. We spoke with our team of event planners to go over some of the alternatives to red and green for your office Christmas party!

In The Event | Holiday Party ThemesHoliday Color Palettes: “When it comes to holiday events, there are plenty of chichés in design. One particular cliché that we’re always faced with is traditional color palettes. Though a classic red-and-green color scheme is always a safe bet, we like to mix it up and bring a fresh look to holiday occasions. Some of my favorite color palettes that I suggest are ones like purple and copper or a bold black, gold, and white.”

Holiday Traditions:
“When it comes to being innovative in the world of holiday events, it’s important to not let your creativity be bound by tradition. Whether it’s the appearance of Santa Claus to the Winter Wonderland theme, there are so many alternatives for creating a fun atmosphere for your holiday party. If you’re throwing a corporate holiday party, hosting activities like community service or wellness sessions is always a great idea.”

“Especially if you’re hosting a corporate event, catering is a place where your creativity can really shine. It’s easy to go along with the classic ham and potatoes, but if you’re looking to go above and beyond, a stellar catering menu is always the place to start. Some of my favorite alternatives are adding fresh and seasonal local produce or trying something new!”
