The Fundamentals Of Event Branding: Empowering Your Business

February 19, 2019

As they say, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words.’ Investing in your brand’s presence at your next event will always be an effective approach to empowering your image and creating an engaged audience. There are plenty of options that work with any budget for creating an aesthetic that includes a powerful brand signature. From graphics and signage to the color of the lights, every piece of your event is an opportunity to showcase your image. We love finding new ways to incorporate the best of event branding into our events, and our team has plenty of experience in creating beautiful events that work to accomplish all of your event goals and broadcast your brand to your audience.

Wondering how we work our magic? We interviewed our graphic designers about their favorite ways to incorporate branding for events, along with some inspiration and tips for making the most of your budget, time, and resources!

Here’s a quick Q&A to help you get to know our graphic designers!

What’s your favorite color?

“My absolute favorite color is Green. Also, because I have often been called a phoenix by rising above challenges, my other favorite colors are Pink, Red, Orange, and Gray.”

Favorite band?

The War on Drugs

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at the office?

Touching different textures at JoAnne’s

Anything else?

Telling kids “you’ll understand when you’re older”

Who is your favorite person alive right now?

Will Smith

Where do you get your inspiration?

“My favorite sources include Communication Arts, Pinterest, and the random dreams I have at night.”

As designers, where do you start with incorporating a company’s branding in a venue?

“Branding is always a fun challenge, and it is always unique for each company. How do we make this event look spectacular while also showing everyone who’s boss? There’s a fine line between tasteful branding and outright annoying branding. I’m proud to say we have a lot of experience with branding and know the perfect formula. Gone are the days when you could just slap a logo on every flat surface.”

“A brand is the essence of what your company represents, the little details that communicate who and how you are. It is your stamp on the world. Every event you have must be an extension of your brand. Without a doubt, your event will develop its own brand. Think about the core purpose of your event and how it relates to your brand. That is a central piece of your event’s branding and style. Pull your inspiration from every source possible.”

What makes In The Event™ special when it comes to event branding?

“A lot of what makes us special is that we have a whole team of designers who work closely with the event planners to make sure everything looks awesome. Sometimes, when you hire separate groups, you don’t get the best results because graphic designers aren’t event planners and vice versa. If it’s all in one place, you get really good communication that helps you make the most of your space.”

A really cool event that we did recently was really focused on branding. We got to play around with the space and furniture and got some really cool results:

“We get to do a lot for large corporate companies that come through and are looking for a one-stop-shop for all of their event needs. They come to us needing professional event branding from experienced designers as well as an event production and planning team. With In The Event™, they get it all in one place. Event rentals, catering coordination, design, branding and more all in the same house. This is a really unique aspect of our business model, where a lot of other companies are only part of a puzzle that can often be difficult to put together.”
